This programme is ideal for young people from 12 to 18yrs as it combines language lessons with activities and excursions, for a duration of two to four weeks.
This programme includes 15 French lessons per week, three lessons per day taking place every morning. The classes are mixed and international, with a maximum of 15 students. Each lessons lasts 50 minutes.
On arrival, participants take a test in order to evaluate their level. Please note: complete beginners are unable to take part in this programme, at least one year of French studies is required.
The lessons are given by native speaking teachers who are qualified in teaching French as a foreign language.
The teaching method is very interactive: progress with speaking skills is thanks to the role plays, use of videos, discussions, songs, drama, activities etc.
French and Sailing
This option is available for students aged 13+ who take part in the programme for 3 weeks only.
For two week, as well as French lessons, students will take sailing lessons on a catamaran, five afternoons per week, in a professional club in Saint-Malo. The third week also includes 15 French lessons as well as the weekly activity programme.
A wide programme of activities and excursions is offered by our partner school: an extra opportunity to speak French and make new friends from all over the world.
Example activities: visits to town, crepe making, beach games, treasure hunts, sports (basketball, football, tennis, volleyball...), visit to the aquarium, catamarans...
Example excursions: Mont Saint-Michel, boat trip to the medieval town of Dinan and much more!
Discover Saint Malo
Saint Malo, a famous seaside destination in Brittany, boasts a long and proud history of nautical explorers, traders, and corsairs. In the heart of Saint Malo stands an impressive ancient walled citadel with exquisite intra-muros of stone ramparts, that circle the entire old city. Take a stroll all around the walls and enjoy the spectacular views of the bay, at high and low tide.
Staying with host families allows students to fully immerse themselves into the French culture and way of life.
All participants stay with a French host family in a double room (with a student of the same age and sex but a different nationality) with full board. Some families provide a single room depending on the space available in their accommodation and the number of students they are hosting.
