This stay is designed for young adults from 18 to 25 years old who wish to improve their English and discover the British capital. The campus is located in the lively Bloomsbury district, close to the British Museum, Covent Garden and Oxford Street. From cultural visits to the capital's must-see sites (Westminster, Tower Bridge, Oxford Street, Covent Garden) to sports and creative activities, this stay is a must for those who want to discover London while enjoying a safe environment.
The courses take place on the famous University College London premises.
20 lessons of 45 minutes per week i.e. 15 hours of classes per week
Classes are held in the morning or afternoon. All course materials are included and distributed to the students on their first day of class.
Classes are international: maximum 15 students per class.
Classes are led by qualified and experienced teachers. On the first day, a level test is given in order to set up groups with the same level of English.
Classes focus on oral practice to develop fluency and self-confidence. The teachers make sure everyone participates.
On the last day of the program, students receive a certificate of proficiency attesting their progress.
The program includes :
- 6 half days and 6 evenings per week
- 1 day excursion (for stays of 2 weeks minimum)
Examples of activities :
Cultural : visits to different areas of London (Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Westminster, Notting Hill, St Paul...), museums (British Museum, Tate Modern, Natural History Museum...).
Ludic : theatre, disco, karaoke, film, talent show workshops...
Sports : football, mini-olympiades, rounders, ping pong...
All activities are supervised by the school's coordinators.
Optional activities and excursions can be proposed on site.
Here is an example of a 2-week program (typical timetable given as an example and subject to change):
Residence - Campbell Hall
Single room, shared bathroom (1 for 5 people), full-board
Travel time to school: very short walking distance
- Bed linen provided
- Wipes/Towels not provided

- Laundry (coin-operated machines); possibility of doing laundry under the supervision of Group Leaders
- Common recreation rooms
- 24-hour security
- 24-hour supervision
Rooms are cleaned once a week, provided that the rooms are tidy. The common areas are cleaned daily.

Meals are served in one of the two cafeterias on campus:
Breakfast: continental with juice, coffee or tea, toast, cereal and fruit.
Lunch and dinner: 2 meals to choose from 3 options, including one vegetarian option

- The trip to/from London
- Transfers to and from the train station/airport to the residence

Information on Brexit :
In the absence of an agreement, the UK Government has made it clear that national identity cards issued by EU Member Countries to their nationals will remain valid until 31 December 2020 inclusive for travel in the UK. As a result, EU citizens will be able to continue to travel using their passports or ID cards solely until that date.
