This programme enables students aged between 9 and 17 to practise their favourite sport with qualified trainers and perfect their English skills.
Language Lessons (15 hours of English language instruction per week)
At the start of the programme students are tested and placed into groups based on their English skills. The language programme is divided into 5 different levels and students are given a report signed by their English teachers at the end of the stay.
You will get a chance to practice English after school since sports and social activities are organised in English.
Our staff ensures that children of all levels can properly and safely take part in the sport activities, encouraging both interest and talent in a fun environment.
Our coaches have long lasting experience, some are international players and full-time professionals. Programmes are one week long, but campers can opt to specialise in more than one sport if they stay longer. Each camper leaves with a signed certificate from the coach, and maybe even one of the camp’s special awards.
In recent years we have been lucky enough to attract some high-profile coaches to our camps. They have taken various roles from coaching individual sessions to running the programme full-time. We hope that we can welcome them back this year.
This programme offers two options to participants. Evening social events and weekend excursions are included in each programme.
Sports & English: Three hours of daily sports coaching in the morning combined with three English lessons (60 minutes each) in the afternoon, from Monday to Friday. Participants increase their language knowledge and encourage them to put it to use during their athletic training. The sports available for this programme include tennis, football, golf, hockey, rugby, dance and horse riding.
Sports Academy: This programme is specifically designed to have a combination of intense coaching, practice and competition. With a specialized coaching programme, it is aimed at those who want to concentrate on one sport only, morning and afternoon, without language courses. The programme includes five hours of training per day with a coach, from Monday to Friday. The afternoons are meant for specialized and technical training sessions.
- Available sports: Tennis, football, football (Arsenal soccer), golf and hockey.
Each weekend, participants staying for 2 weeks or more can participate in organised excursions supervised by our staff.
Saturdays, students go to an amusement park, while Sundays are dedicated to tours of nearby English cities (London, Brighton, Bath, Bournemouth, Cambridge…).
For these trips, students should plan to have some pocket money available for possible entry fees and other expenses (shopping, souvenirs, etc).
Our staff conducts evening activities designed to allow students of similar ages to socialise and have a good time. The majority of these activities are on the school grounds and include activities such as "Crazy Olympics", fashion evenings, "Coach Hunt", "Race Night", casino nights, karaoke, cabaret, "Blind Date" and at the end of the week, an evening of "international disco".
For campers ages 15-16, our staff also organises several off-site activities like cinema, ice-skating and pizza parties. Students should have some pocket money for these activities (about £30 a week).
