Destination

Manchester is the capital of Northern England. it is an ideal city to learn English, as 90 per cent of the inhabitants is born in Great Britain. The city has the largest University complex in the UK, which creates a great and welcoming environment.

The city is also well known because of the football team Manchester United and Manchester City, which are both teams on the English Premier League. The stadiums of these teams are both located within a 15 min. drive from the school.

School

Our partner school is accredited by the British Council, which ensures the quality of the courses and makes sure they meet national requirements. The school is located in downtown Manchester, which makes it easily accessible and gives students the opportunity to explore the centre after classes. Public transport in the city is very good, so you can easy come to the school or go to the activities.

The staff of the school is always willing to help you and to guide you and listen to you when necessary. Classes will have a maximum of 14 students, with an average of 8 students during the year.

Students come from anywhere in the world, so a mix of nationalities is guaranteed. With a small about of French-speakers, which will allow you to practice your English any time.

Courses

English course: 20 lessons a week

All students will have to take a placement test upon arrival, to determine their level of English. They will be placed in a course corresponding to their level.

Different levels are taught, from beginner to advanced.

Classes are in morning from 08.30 to 12.30, from Monday to Friday. Each class has a duration of 50 minutes.

Activities

The afternoons are reserved for practicing football and to learn the different aspects of the sport.

3 afternoons per week will be reserved for training. They are organized by professional coaches. 9 hours of training will be spread over 3 afternoons.

Excursions are reserved for two afternoons per week (6 hours per week in total). Students will be able to visit the most famous stadiums in town: Man CityEtihad Stadium, Liverpool / Everton trip, and also a cultural visit to the National Museum of Football.

Accommodation

During the program you will stay in a residence.

The location of the residence is just a few minutes walking distance from the centre and the university. You will have a single room, with each your own toilet and bathroom. To all students, a living room, kitchen and dining room will be available.

All apartments have a television and telephone, internet is available in every room.

You can do laundry is the residence and stall your bike safely.

Visa

EU citizens do not require a visa to visit the UK.

In case you are not a EU citizen, you can apply for a "Student Visitor Visa" to enter the UK. It is valid for six months, even if you wish to stay for a shorter period, but does not allow you to work. Visa fees are your responsibility and are not included in our prices.
