English language programme in Auckland

Located in the north of New Zealand's northern island, the city of Auckland is the biggest in the country with over 1,3 million inhabitants. Being a very cosmopolitan city, Auckland has a large British community along with Asian communities and the largest Polynesian community in the world.

The stunning nature along with its modernity makes Auckland an ideal city to live in all year round. Its warm and sunny climate is around 20°C during the summer months (from December - February) and 13°C during the winter (from June - August).

The City of Sails has numerous tourist attractions such as the Sky Tower (it's 328 metres high!) which you can actually bungee jump from, museums, gardens, the historical centre of the city and the city's port with its ships all ready to set sail.

The EC/Embassy school

Our partner school EC/Embassy is located in the heart of Auckland next to the sea front, restaurants and the city's shopping streets. The huge Auckland park is a mere two minute walk away, and the school itself is very easily accessible by public transport.

School facilities include:

  • 8 bright and spacious classrooms
  • Interactive white boards
  • IT room with 25 computers
  • Free WiFi connection
  • A well stocked library
  • Spacious and comfortable lounge
  • A guidance counsellor for university studies

The school is accessible for those with reduced mobility.

Accreditations: NZQA, "category 1 English language school". This means that students are able to work for 20 hours per week with their student visa, regardless of their English language level.
