Cambridge enjoys an almost unparalleled reputation (except for maybe its rival, Oxford) for its high-calibre university, producing the likes of Sir Isaac Newton, Bertrand Russell, and Ludwig Wittgenstein, and the history and traditions that have accompanied it through time. Student town, cosmopolitan, dynamic, ancient, Cambridge is full of things to do and see, making it a hot destination for young people learning English.
Climb to the top of Great St. Mary's cathedral for a spectacular view of the town from above. Go rowing, or for an even more typical Cambridge experience, give punting on the Cam a try. Students can take walks through "the Backs", going down peaceful meadows to the river's edge and providing picturesque views of the colleges. In the heart of East Anglia, Cambridge itself is well-situated and easily accessible by train, bus, car, and air plane, making it easy to travel around England (and maybe even sneaking a trip over to Oxford, just for comparison).
Founded in 1954, Studio Cambridge, has years of EFL experience under its belt. Accredited by the British Council and a member of English UK and Education UK, the school offers Intensive English and exam prep courses for young people and adults as well as fun-filled language and activity programs. With qualified and experienced teachers, the courses always include a range of activities and local visits after classes. Every week, 180 to 250 students are engaged throughout and encouraged to speak English with fellow participants from every corner of the world. At the end of the course, students receive academic certification showing achievements and proficiency in English. The school knows over 70 nationalities per week. It is situated just a 10 minute walk from the centre of town and 400 meters from the main train station. There is also a learning centre with a library, computers, multimedia facilities and free Internet.
All levels are welcome, from complete beginner to advanced. The school is open to participants ages 16 and up. Progress tests are given throughout programs.
Classes take place Monday - Friday. Each lesson is 45 minutes long, and there are maximum 16 students per class, (13 on average).

Staying with a host family is the best way to fully delve into the English language and culture. We take enormous care in selecting the best host family for the student and all of our families are carefully screened. Students are encouraged to spend time with their families in order to make the most out of their stay in the country.
There are three types of homestays offered:
Three Star (nice, clean, standard accommodation)
Four Star (higher standard, larger home and additional facilities)
Five Star (large house with private bathroom)
Homestays are located no more than 30 minutes from school on foot or by bus. Students stay in single rooms (double rooms available for couples) with half board.
Located on only a 5 minute walk from the school and 15 minutes from the city centre, this is an ideal accommodation for students wanting more independence and the chance to live with other foreign students. Students stay in single rooms with private bathrooms and share a fully-equipped kitchen. Laundry facilities are available with washing machines and dryers. The bed linen is provided but students should bring their own towels.
