Location

Situated between Nice and cannes, with 25km of sandy beaches and 300 days of sun a year, Antibes is one of the most popular destinations on the Côte d'Azur!

With 75 000 inhabitants in the winter and almost double in the summer, Antibes remains a very human-sized town. You'll very quickly get to know your way around, all while being a few minutes away from the famous towns of Cannes and Nice!

It's a rich and safe town which will no doubt attract students from all over the world with its variety of activities on offer: nights out, leisure activities, sports, and an intense cultural experience... you won't be getting bored in Antibes.

School

Our partner school has specialised in teaching French as a foreign language since 1985. Each year, 5000 students frequent the school. "The Castle" ("Le Château") is the nickname for the school's main building, given that it's a very old Provençal building in a calm and peaceful environment, not far from the centre of town and our residences. Its classrooms are well-lit and equipped with modern facilities. It's outdoor terrace offers an exceptional view of the port of Antibes and the Bay of Angels.

The school features 13 classrooms, a library, a self-service restaurant, a cyber area, and WiFi (5€/week.)

When "The Castle" reaches its maximum capacity, it's the "Port" school which then takes on our students. This building, smaller and more intimate, includes 7 classrooms and a cyber area, and is found, as its name suggests, right near the port of Antibes, in the heart of the town's pedestrian zone.

Activities

The school organises a diverse range of activities, free or for an additional fee.

Don't hesitate to ask for a programme of events and excursions from the reception. A new one is published every week.

Courses

In order to allow a personalised and efficient teaching, focused on oral communication and expression, the courses are run in small groups, with a maximum of 12 students per class. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.

• Standard programme: 20 lessons per week
  
  These morning classes offer general oral and written French teaching in a friendly atmosphere.
  Also: acquisition of indispensable grammar skills for each level, work on written and oral expression, situation tasks, role play.
  
  
• Intensive programme: 30 lessons per week
  
  These classes take place Monday to Friday, spread across the mornings and afternoons. They feature general written and spoken French in the morning, and afternoon classes which develop oral comprehension and expression, while familiarising the students with French culture, civilisation, and life.

2 types of accommodation are available for this programme.

Host family

Host family accommodation is an excellent means to practice French outside of courses and to immerse yourself fully in French culture. Our host families all boast several years experience in welcoming foreign students. Your housing would feature a shared room (single rooms are available for an additional fee). Only breakfast is included but you can also opt for half-board for an additional fee. If you select a double room, we will do our utmost to ensure that you stay with another student of a similar age and who does not speak your native language.

The families are rigorously selected within a radius of 30 minutes by public transport.

Student residences

We also offer residential accommodation adapted to any budget.

Castel Residence
This residence is situated in a calm environment, 600 metres from the beach and 450 metres from the shops. You'll have a terrace, a television room, a small swimming pool, as well as a bar for drinks and snacks open between April and October.

It features economy, intermediate, and superior standard rooms.

• Economy and standard rooms:
  These rooms are well-lit and situated in an annexed extension of the main building. They each have a shower room and individual toilets. Cleaning is up to the students, but bedlinen is changed once a week.
• Superior studio:
  All studios feature heating/air conditioning, a kitchenette, a TV, a bathroom (with shower), toilets, as well as a terrace or a balcony.
  
  

Aragon & Garret Residence - Superior Standard
All studios feature heating/air conditioning, a kitchenette, a TV, a bathroom (with shower), toilets, as well as a terrace or a balcony. Bedlinen is changed once a week.

• Entirely renovated, the Aragon residence offers 28 modern and comfortable rooms. It is in the same district as the Arabel residence, and a few minutes' walk from the main attractions.
• Situated within the enclosure of the "The Castle" building itself, the Garret residence offers 10 studios in complete tranquillity, 800 metres from the town centre.

Transport

If you prefer, we can book your flights for you. This must be made clear at the moment of enrolment.

If you intend to book your own flight, try to arrive the Sunday before the start of your course and leave the Saturday following its end.

Visa Information

EU residents do not normally need a Visa to enter France.

Citizens of other countries, such as the USA, Brazil, Japan, Korea, etc, can stay in France without a Visa for up to 3 months.

If you intend to stay for longer than 3 months, you will need to apply for a Student Visa (type D) before arriving.
