Located on the doorstep of the wild wetlands of Petit-Camargue, a gorgeous natural region stretching across the southwest coast of France, Montpellier is a haven of peace, all relaxed vibes and beautifully preserved architecture. Founded in medieval times as a farm and birthplace of La Marseillaise, this once-sleepy university town - now home to 80 000 students, 30% of the population - won't fail to charm your senses.

Montpellier is a thriving southern town a-buzz with cultural happenings, flavoursome southern cuisine and multicultural energy centred around the dazzling white-paved pedestrian expanse of the Place de la Comédie, crowned by the Opera House and the place for people-watching and enjoying one leisurely drink after another. Elsewhere in town, l'Ecusson district's underground electronica concerts, art house cinema and quirky boutiques will also keep you entertained.

Montpellier is a well-kept French secret only a hop, skip and a jump away from beautiful white sand beaches - a great place to make progress in French while experiencing authentic Languedoc culture.

Our partner school, LSF, is located just a few minutes' walk to the famous Place de la Comédie with bus and tram stops just 3 minutes away on foot. LSF is now revolutionising its teaching methods thanks to new tools on the cutting edge of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for Education. During their stay, LSF students can now enjoy a full pack of tools and services: the school blog, an internal social network for students and alumni, and a Moodle platform with extra classes.

The student body is multicultural and diverse and lessons focus on intercultural exchange as well as language learning.

The school is accredited by Groupement FLE and Germany's Bildungsurlaub, and is officially recognized as a quality-assured French language school by the French Ministry of Education.

School facilities include:
