Destination
Nice is located at the edge of the South-East coast of France, only 30km away from the Italian border, on the Mediterranean seaside. With nearly 350 000 inhabitants, it is the fifth most populous city in France. Located between sea and mountains, economic capital of the Côte d’Azur, Nice benefits from substantial natural assets. Culturally and architecturally enriched over time, today Nice has become a truly cosmopolitan tourist destination.
The area of today’s Nice is believed to be among the oldest human settlements in Europe. The city also has a university, several business districts and some major cultural facilities, such as museums, a national theatre, an opera house with a regional library and several concert halls and casinos.The spectacular natural beauty of the Nice area and its mild Mediterranean climate make it a place to go at any time of the year.
School
Our school in Nice is situated in the city centre, walking distance from the sea, the old town and the famous Promenade des Anglais. It has facilities combining the useful and the pleasant: a beautiful garden which allows participants to appreciate the Mediterranean well-being between two courses, 11 fully equipped and bright classrooms, a computer room with Internet access (WiFi) in the all building and garden, etc.

Courses
Our course respond to general or specific needs of the students and propose different communicative objectives according to their skill level.
The flexibility of the organisation, as well as the small class size, aid in facilitating the learning of French in relation to prescribed objectives.
All levels, from complete beginner to advanced. Minimum 16 years old. 12 participants/classroom maximum. Lessons last 45 minutes.
Standard course: 20 lessons per week
They generally take place in the morning from 8:45 to 12:00, but afternoon classes can also be arranged. These focus on vocabulary and grammatical structures with the aim of improving your French communication skills.
Intensive course: 30 lessons per week
They take place from 8:45 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 14:30 or from 14:45 to 18:00 according to the days of the week.
In addition to the standard courseload, you will take part in class activities which focus on oral expression or, depending on the collective needs of the group, in specific workshops.
Combined courses
Standard courses with additional individual lessons. 20 lessons of 45 minutes + 10 or 20 individual lessons per week.
DELF Exam Preparation: 10 lessons per week (in addition to Standard course)
Independent to your progression in the general French lessons, you can take part in these specialised workshops. Their aim is to aid you in preparing for official exams or in acquiring specific linguistic skills allowing you to function in particular professional situations.
Activities
At the same time you will be attending French classes, our partner school invites you to take part in visits and excursions organised each week. Thus, your stay in Nice will be as educational as entertaining. The school offers the following excrusions: Cannes, Monaco and Monte-Carlo,Villefranche sur Mer, Grasse, Antibes, Menton, Saint-Tropez, ...
Main events and festivals: Grand Prix of Monaco, carnival of Nice, Jazz festival, triathlon, Cannes international film festival of Cannes, etc.
Accommodation
Host family
A very warm Mediterranean welcome and total immersion in the French language make this accommodation option the most practical solution to practice in the relaxed atmosphere of your host family. Our partner school tries to take into account your age, profession, and interests when choosing your host family.
All host families live less than around thirty minutes’ walk from the course centre. Those that are slightly further out are always near a regular bus or tram.
Staying in a single room, you will benefit from half board (compulsory for students of 16 and 17 years). Bed linen is provided, but you will have to bring your own towels for the beach.
Residence Campus Central (from 18 years)
The residence is housed on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the school building. It features 21 recently renovated spacious rooms.You will choose between a single room and a double room (which you will occupy with another student). Each room comes with a private bathroom and WC. Each floor features a fully equipped kitchen, a TV and a telephone.
The residence provides you with the necessary supplies for cleaning your room and the kitchen; for washing your clothes, you can use the local laundrettes.
Bed linen is provided, but you will have to bring your own towels. Free Internet access via WiFi. 200 € accommodation deposit payable on arrival.
Residence Montebello (in July and August only, from 18 years)
In the summer, we have the perfect residence for students wishing to meet people from all over the world: Montebello.
Location : in a nice private park 15 minutes from the school by public transport. Single or double rooms with a bathroom are available, bed linen is provided every week and the communal areas are cleaned daily. A tram stops right in front of the residence. There are no catering possibilities on-site but plenty of restaurants nearby (discounts upon presentation of the school's student ID). 200 € accommodation deposit payable on arrival.
For the residences:
If no transfer is arranged, a welcome meeting takes place Sunday between 6pm and 7pm. After the inventory is taken, the student is given a tour of the facilities and the key to their room. This key must be given back the Saturday of their departure before 10am.

Transport
- Arrival airport or train station: Nice
An (optional) transfer is available between airport and accommodation - see price table. This is only available between 8am and 8pm.
If you prefer, we can book your flights for you. This must be made clear at the moment of enrolment.
If you intend to book your own flight, try to arrive the Sunday before the start of your course and leave the Saturday following its end.
Visa Information
EU residents do not normally need a Visa to enter France.
Citizens of other countries, such as the USA, Brazil, Japan, Korea, etc, can stay in France without a Visa for up to 3 months.
If you intend to stay for longer than 3 months, you will need to apply for a Student Visa (type D) before arriving.
