Located on the south coast of England, less than an hour from London, Brighton is one of the most famous seaside resorts in the country.
A tourist town of about 250,000 inhabitants, it is also a dynamic, vibrant and modern student city, which attracts many students from around the world.
We have established partnerships with many companies in Brighton, from small family companies to large multinationals. Even if the latter may be "prestigious" on a CV, be aware that you will certainly have more interesting tasks to fulfill in a small or medium sized company. Interactions are more personal and interns gain a better overview of the overall operations of a company.
Please note that we guarantee a placement in your domain, but not in a particular company.
Tasks and working conditions can be very varied, depending on the business and the participant. Some companies ask their interns to work independently, while others prefer to supervise them.
The companies are located in Brighton itself or nearby. If you choose to book accommodation through us, we will find you a host family as close as possible to your host company.
Level of English
So that your internship takes place in the best possible conditions and that you are able to carry out tasks required, your level of english must be sufficient. The minimum required level is B1 or intermediate.
If you need a language refresher, we recommend that you start your stay in England with an intensive English course. Our programme English in Brighton will notably enable you to make large improvements in just a few weeks.
The internship is full time and unpaid. The number of working hours complies with English law and depends on the pace of work at the company. Students on the Leonardo or Erasmus programmes may nevertheless adapt their schedule in accordance with their host companies.
Several types of placement are available, according to the duration of your internship, your level of English, and your sector of interest:
Minimum level: A2+ (lower intermediate)

The Erasmus or Leonardo Da Vinci programme
Mobility programmes implemented by the European Union offer a unique opportunity for EU members to acquire professional experience in England. We can organise your placement for you, enabling you to do an internship in the field you study at university, while being subsidised by the European Union.
This programme is aimed at students over 18 years who have an intermediate level in English. These programmes can last from 4 to 26 weeks.
Before departure , our partner is responsible for:
- evaluating your level of english,
- selecting potential companies,
- arrange a telephone interview between the intern and the company if necessary
- fill out the required documents if the internship is a part of Leonardo or Erasmus
During the internship, you receive:
- An orientation session which explains how to live and work in England.
- Constant supervision and intervention in the case of a problem.
- An internship contract, a participation certificate and other useful documents.
- A programme of sociocultural activities and excursions.
- A 24h emergency number.
After the internship , your experience is approved by obtaining an internship certificate.

Conditions of participation
Participants must be members of the European Union , and have a minimum level of intermediate (B1) in English. Our partner is responsible for evaluating your level of English with a test and a phone interview, which will determine the level of internship you can apply for.
The duration of the internship must be a minimum of 3 weeks, to 6 months maximum.
Participants must be aged at least 16 years at the start of the internship.
Internships are unpaid. The company may eventually compensate travel costs but this is not consistent.
Dates & registration deadlines
Internships can take place all year, for a duration of your choice.
The registration deadline is 6 weeks before your departure (8 weeks for level 3 interns).
Note, some industries require more time, be sure to prepare your placement as soon as possible so that you can take advantage of a placement appropriate to your goals.
After having sent our online application form and paid the required deposit, we request that you send the following documents (in Word format):
- Your CV in English (with indication of the languages spoken and European benchmark, computer skills and any experience working with description of the work performed and related to the desired sector)
- A covering letter in English
- A list detailing your 3 choices of sector, in order of preference
- A DBS check (police criminal record check), to be obtained from town hall.
On receipt of payment, we are able to quickly confirm if you are accepted onto the programme.
You will have an interview via telephone or Skype with our partner to verify your level of English, then with several potential companies who will confirm your placement or not. It is therefore possible that you will have several interviews before being accepted by a company.
Once the placement is confirmed, you will receive all the company's details and information on your position, in general in the 4 weeks leading up to the start of your internship. You will also receive information on accommodation after the placement, if you booked through Easy Languages.
If you are not accepted by the companies, we will reimburse you the total amount paid.
If after arriving and you have been working for at least 2 weeks, and it does not suit your needs, you can inform our partner on location who will look for another placement.
To help you achieve the best possible internship experience, we are also able to offer you accommodation with a host family in Brighton which you can book for part of or all of your placement.
Staying with an English host family will allow you to delve into the heart of local culture.
Our hosts are carefully selected for their hospitality and quality of housing which fits the national norm. The rooms are cleaned and the linen and towels are changed at least once a week. The participant will have a key to the house and the host will be available to offer help and advice so that the participant feels at ease.
You will be in an individual room and can choose either full or half-board.

- An introductory meeting upon arrival
- Evaluation and certificate at end of course
- Help with administrative tasks (providing the necessary documents in the Erasmus + program)

- Accommodation with use of common and meal (optional) and assistance in case of problem
- Support for the visa (if necessary)
