Program
Are you planning to spend a short or long-term holiday in California?
Our partner in San Diego is a specialist in short and medium-term housing. It is recognized by the FIYTO (Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations) for the quality of its services. We offer a wide range of quality housing options in local families.
All our families are carefully selected, with attention given to the safety of the neighbourhoods, proximity to public transportation and friendliness of the host family.
This accommodation option allows the student to discover the region as a tourist while living with locals, or to find independent accommodation during an internship. Therefore this option is not to be confused with a language programme in the sense that we do not guarantee daily contact between the host families and the participants in the program, they should be able to support themselves independently. Programs run from 1 to 24 weeks.
Destination
San Diego is considered to be one of the most pleasant cities in the United States; it is clean, safe and fun, with a temperate climate 300 days of sun a year. The beaches of San Diego offer some of the world’s best surfing spots, and the city center offers great opportunities to eat, drink, and shop. Just an hour away you will find the Laguna Mountains, the desert in the East and only 20 minutes to the South you will see Mexico.
San Diego has more than 86 golf courses, 1,200 tennis courses, 60 kilometers (about 40 miles) of beaches, and a water park covering almost 2,000 hectares (almost 5,000 acres).
Host families
Families can be situated in any of the districts of San Diego.
This variety of locations allows students and tourists to discover other points of interest outside of the city.
Guarantees
All families have been visited by our local partner and have to meet strict requirements. They provide a warm and comfortable environment for students and tourists in their house.
