Info
Are you planning to spend a short or long-term holiday in New York?
We offer accommodation either in host families or in student residences. Our partner in New York is a housing provider that specializes in offering private rooms in homestays, as well as private rooms in residence halls or dormitories. It is recognized by the FIYTO (Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations) for the quality of its services.
All our families are carefully selected, with attention given to the safety of the neighbourhoods, proximity to public transportation and friendliness of the host family.
This accommodation option allows the student to discover the region as a tourist living with a local, or to find independent accommodation during an internship. Therefore this option is not to be confused with a language program in the sense that we do not guarantee daily contacts between the host families and the participants in the program, who must be able to support themselves autonomously. Programs run from 1 to 24 weeks.
Our residential accommodation programs are equally carefully designed, and bestow a larger degree of independent to participants.
Destination
With a population of 8.5 million inhabitants, New York is the most famous and most dynamic city in the United States. Manhattan, the capital of the American financial world, offers students a wide range of incomparable cultural and sports events, attractions, restaurants, markets, shopping centres and ethnic diversity.... Public transportation is quick and efficient, and in the last 10 years New York has become one of the 10 safest cities in the United States.
Host families
Families can be located either:
- Within Manhattan: Manhattan and Roosevelt Island, or
- Outside Manhattan: Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Bronx, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey.
This variety of locations allows students and tourists to discover other points of interest outside of New York.
Guarantees
All families have been visited by our local partner and fulfil strict welcoming criteria. They provide a warm comfortable environment for the students and tourists they house.
They are always in a safe area of the city, situated close to public transport and local amenities.
Emergency assistance is available 24/7.
