Salamanca, 'City of Gold', is home to the oldest university in Europe and some of the world's most beautiful (and beautifully preserved) buildings. In addition to its golden sandstone buildings, the city is famed for its student population and festive atmosphere. The city lies 200km for Madrid, in the west of Spain, and many intellectual heavyweights came of age and published their works here - from Fray Luis de Leon to Miguel de Unamuno.

Our Partner School

Enforex Salamanca is located in Salamanca's old town in a former convent dating back to the 17th century, 5 minutes on foot from the Plaza Mayor. Founded in 1973, the school aims to promote Spanish language and culture by providing quality language courses.

The school is accredited by Instituto Cervantes and a range of Spanish and American universities.

School facilities include:

  • 30 classrooms
  • IT suite with Internet access
  • Wi-Fi
  • Library
  • Playing fields

Activities and events during your stay

As an Enforex student, you will enjoy a varied calendar of social and leisure activities every week, in the afternoon or during the evening. Attendance is optional. Many of these activities are free of charge, however, some may require a fee. All activities are subject to change without notice and may be offered seasonally.

Some of the many activities available include:

  • Guided tour of Salamanca
  • Basketball and football matches
  • Spanish movie nights
  • Weekend excursions: Toledo, Avila, Madrid, Zamora, Vallado, Ciudad Rodrigo

Courses on offer

4 lessons a day will give you a practical understanding of the Spanish language and train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

    Language level: all levels

    • Intensive Spanish: 25 lessons per week

The ideal course to get your Spanish where you want it to be, fast. Includes the above Standard Spanish classes, and also allows you to personalise your course by attending 5 additional cultural workshops per week across a wide selection of electives (see below).

    Language level: all levels

    • DELE Exam Preparation Courses: 20 lessons per week (ages 18+)

DELE exam preparation courses are held 2 and 4 weeks before each exam date (see Dates & Prices 2016 tab). Courses are language level-appropriate and include 20 lessons of exam preparation per week.

The DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the only Spanish language proficiency certificate officially recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education. If you wish to attend university in Spain or work in a Spanish-speaking country, sitting the DELE exam is the first step to success.

We recommend that you study Spanish for a sufficient length of time before enrolling in a DELE-specific course and sitting the test.

  • Private lessons: 5 or 10 lessons per week

One-on-one lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs. If you're looking to make progress fast or preparing for an exam, one-on-one lessons can give you an extra boost.

Private lessons can be taken in addition to our standard or intensive courses.

  • Radio workshop: students produce their own Spanish radio show, researching and summazing Spanish media

  • Press workshop: students put together their own newspaper or magazine, based on current affairs, local news and interviews

  • Drama workshop: students put on short versions of famous Spanish plays

  • History, literature and art workshop: students learn about Spanish culture through history, literature and art, in addition to Spanish cuisine and local festivals
