Programme

Language Programme

At the beginning of each programme students are tested and placed into groups based on their ability. Students are constantly surrounded by English kids, giving them an important change to learn.

This camp is unique in that it is the only junior summer camp where international and English students are placed together in the same activity programme, in an environment where English is in constantly used; social activities and sports coaching are all given in English.

Sports Programme

Our staff ensures that children of all abilities can practice a sport properly and safely, encouraging both interest and talent in a fun environment.

Whether you are a complete beginner or experienced in a specific sport, each child receives instructions from educated coaches, including international players and full time professionals.

Each coaching programme lasts for one week, children can opt to specialize in more than one sport if they stay for more than one week.

Each child will leave the programme with a signed certificate from the coach, and perhaps one of the camp’s special awards.

In recent years we have been lucky enough to attract some high-profile coaches to our camps. They have taken various roles from coaching individual sessions to running the programme full-time. We hope that we can welcome them back this year.

This programme offers three options to participants. Evening social events and weekend excursions are included in each programme.

  • Sports & Language Option
For international students, three hours of daily sports coaching is mixed with two and half hours of expert language instruction, helping children increase their knowledge of the language and encouraging them to put it to use during their athletic training. The sports available for this programme include tennis, football, golf, hockey, rugby, dance, basketball and horse riding.
  • Multi-Sports Option
This programme enables students to cover two or more sports in their time. Students spend up to three hours a day focusing on one sport (in the morning), while the rest of the day (in the afternoon) is divided between one or two others.

In the morning, you can choose from tennis, golf, hockey, football, horse riding, dance, rugby and basketball. In the afternoons, you can choose from football, basketball, volleyball, golf, tennis, squash, biking and canoeing.
  • Sports Academy
This programme is specifically designed to have a combination of intense coaching, practice and competition. With a specialized coaching programme, it is aimed at those who want to concentrate on one sport only, morning and afternoon, without language tuition. Sports available for this programme are tennis, football, golf, hockey, dance and basketball.

Weekend Excursions

Each weekend, participants staying for 2 weeks or more can participate in organised excursions supervised by our staff. Saturdays, youths can go to an amusement park, while Sundays are dedicated to tours of nearby English cities (London, Brighton, Bath, Bournemouth, Cambridge,…). For these trips, students should plan to have some pocket money available for possible entry fees and other expenses (shopping, souvenirs,…).

Social Activities

Our staff conduct evening activities designed to allow students of similar ages to socialize and have a good time. The majority of these activities are on the school grounds and include activities such as "Crazy Olympics", fashion evenings, "Coach Hunt", "Race Night", casino nights, karaoke, cabaret, "Blind Date", and at the end of the week, an evening of "international disco".

For youth aged 15-16, our staff also organises several off-site activities (cinema, ice-skating, pizza). Students should have some pocket money for these activities (about 30£ a week).
