Program
Program overview
This programme is perfect for children and teenagers who wish to begin or continue with learning French. A mix of nationalities is guaranteed - contact with your native language is reduced.
The combination of language lessons with activities allows the students to make real and rapid progress in learning the langauge. They will have the opportunity to practice what they've learnt in the classroom throughout the day: the learning process is therefore constant, without feeling academic.
For activities and lessons, groups are organised according to the ages and preferences of the participants.
Destination
Arcachon is a famous seaside town, in lovely surroundings. Ocean views, sandy beaches, pine forests...
It isn't far from Bordeaux, a young and lively town, known for its famous chateaux and renowned vineyards.
Program
French lessons
The classes are of mixed nationalities, with a maximum of 15 pupils. Upon arrival, participants take a placement test.
Warning: complete beginners are not accepted.
- Semi-intensive course: 15 lessons
This course includes 15 French lessons per week, in the form of 3 lessons per day, every morning. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes.
Courses are taught by native speakers qualified to teach French as a foreign language.
Teaching methods are interactive: progress in oral communication is done through role playing, videos, discussion, songs, theatre, and other activities.
A full and varied activity programme
A wide range of activities is offered by our partner school: extra chances to practice your French and make new friends from all over the world.
Example activities: visiting the town, bike tour, visiting Aqualand, going canoeing, horse-riding, sports (basketball, football, tennis, volleyball), etc...
Example excursions: visiting la Dune du Pyla, visiting Bordeaux, visiting Cap Ferret...
French and Surfing (only for 2 weeks, from age 13)
We offer a special programme of French and surfing. After the morning lessons, students can take surfing lessons 4 afternoons per week.
Lessons are adapted to the level of the participants, and are supervised by professionals. All materials (board, etc) is provided by the school.
This programme is available with the semi-intensive course.
Supervision
Supervision and welfare of the children is our priority. That's why the team of group leaders are present and available 24/7. They are experienced and passionate and look after the youths during their meals, activities, and excursions.
At the end of the day, the children are looked after by their host families.
Our French teachers, group leaders, and the entire staff at the language school, make sure that the students get the most out of their language exchange at Arcachon and leave with an unforgettable memory.

Staying with a host family allows you to immerse yourself completely in the French way of life.
