No visa necessary for EU residents - a valid passport or ID card is enough (+ authorisation to leave your territory).

Destination

Ireland’s capital city, Dublin, is located on the East coast of Ireland and is a vibrant and inspirational place world-renowned for its warmth and hospitality.

Dublin has a population of approximately 1.5 million people and has produced, or been home to, some of the greatest literary names in history. Dublin’s most famous literary son is James Joyce and Dublin is the setting for two of his greatest works: Ulysses and The Dubliners. Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, W.B. Yeats, Jonathan Swift and Bram Stoker are just some of the famous writers who were born or lived in Dublin.

This modern city also has many theatres, cinemas and concert venues to entertain its visitors. Shops and museums, art galleries and exhibitions are plentiful in this young and exciting capital city. It is also a safe and friendly place for young people looking to improve their English and to discover the Irish culture and way of life.

Blackrock is situated in a suburb of Dublin, 8km south of the centre of town (10 minutes by train or 25 minutes by bus). It's a pleasant little seaside town which has been welcoming tourists since the 18th century.

School

For 40 years our partner school has had the pleasure of welcoming students of diverse nationalities and it is accredited byThe Advisory Council For English Language Schools.

All the teachers are university graduates with specific qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Courses

Classes run from Monday to Friday with four lessons per day in the morning. There is a maximum of 15 students per group.

Students receive a placement test on their first day in order to put them in the appropriate language level class. Teachers write weekly reports monitoring each student's progress. Visits and excursions are discussed and organised in class so that the students understand and can make the most of them.

The timetable is organised to allow each student to gain the maximum benefit from their courses.

Activities

Outside class, a multitude of sports and recreational and cultural activities are offered. Thanks to the many sports facilities in school, students can participate in activities in a safe and pleasant environment. A program of activities is planned forthe afternoons and evenings on weekdays and all day Saturday.

On the program: football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, rugby and swimming.

Each week, a cultural tour of one afternoon and one full day excursion is organized.
