Programme Preview

This programme is perfect for children and teenagers who wish to begin or continue with learning German. A mix of nationalities is guaranteed - contact with your native language is reduced.

The combination of language lessons with activities allows the students to make real and rapid progress in learning the langauge. They will have the opportunity to practice what they've learnt in the classroom throughout the day: the learning process is therefore constant, without feeling academic.

The programmes take place in various locations throughout Germany. Please note that each destination has a different schedule. Accommodation arrangements vary by age, so be sure to consult the individual programme details section below before making reservations.

Courses and Activities

Our programmes are well-balanced between courses and activities, and they are perfectly adapted to the ages of the participants. Lessons take place bewteen 9am and 12:30pm Monday to Friday. Groups consist of up to 15 students (average is 12).

Students will receive a placement test on their first day. Each programme includes 15 to 20 lessons a week according to age, for which academic materials and books are provided.

Every afternoon, the school organises activities in German for the students, which range from excursions into the host town to supervised sports. There is one full-day excursion during the 2-week stay and 2 or 3 full-day excursions for the longer programmes. The price of public transportation is also included in the package (subscription for the whole stay).

A schedule of the courses and activities is given to the students at the beginning of their stay.

Accommodation

Students will live in student residences. These are supervised and clean. The schools host a variety of courses for German youngsters as well and these youths make up the majority of the residents. Contact with native speakers is, therefore, very common. Students share a room with a German native unless they request a specific roommate.

Students stay in a double room unless they want to share a room with a friend.

Warning: Housing is available in shared rooms for an extra supplement. Shared rooms are upon availability.

Important: upon arriving students must pay a deposit of 50 EUR. This will be held in case of problems and only returned to the student at the end of their stay if there had been no damage caused.

Berlin

Location

Berlin is not only the third most important city after London and Paris, but it is also a real metropole due to its extensive size: from the east to the west you can easily do 45km.

Hence the importance of the school's location for easy accessibility to the centre and other places of interest. The residence is located in Berlin -Mitte, the centre of Berlin and its touristic sites. It is equipped with double and quadruple rooms, lounges, a cyber-café and a cosy cafetaria.

This programme is available to all levels except complete beginners. You must have had at least one year of German tuition.

Höchst im Odenwald

Location

Höchst is a smaller town (population 10,000) in Hessen, Germany. It is situated in the Odenwald (forest of Oden), 25 km (15 and a half miles) East of Darmstadt. Höchst is the perfect destination for those who are seeking to get away from the noise of city life. Our programme, packed with activities and sports, is designed to help teenagers get to know this quiet place, yet keep an active and entertaining schedule. 

Our residence is located in an old convent, with classrooms, dormitories, a big assembly room, sport and activity rooms and a huge park.

Students sleep in comfortable double or triple rooms. Each floor has its bathrooms with toilets and showers. Each floor has a member of staff supervising.

This programme is available to all levels.

Hintersee

Location

Hintersee is located in the extreme South of Bavaria, in Southern Germany. This region, known to tourists worldwide, offers magnificent landscapes and a rich history. The residence is located between the lake of Hintersee and the mountain that borders it. Our programme offers a wide variety of activities, such as boating, bowling or sports.

Students share a room with two or three roommates, and each room has a bathroom, shower, sink, dressers and cabinets.

This programme is available to all levels except complete beginners. You must have had at least one year of German tuition.

• Programmes 2 to 5 weeks in length

Prices

All prices are listed in the table above. Fees include:
