Destination
Ottawa, the national capital of Canada, boasts a perfect geographic location with close proximity to popular tourist sites, such as Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City.
Nestled between the majestic Ottowa, Rideau and Gatineau rivers, it is recognized as one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. It is not only famous for its architecture, but also for the imposing presence of its cultural heritage.
Ottawa hosts more than 60 festivals, 30 museums and more than 50 art galleries and theatres. Whatever the season, it is a dynamic city with an entertaining and cosmopolitan atmosphere: in winter it hosts the biggest natural skating rink in the world, and in summer the town comes alive with music festivals.
School
Our partner school is located in the middle of downtown Ottawa and boasts spacious classrooms as well as a comfortable recreational lounge and a modern computer room. The course programmes are based on a fun learning approach, with lots of speaking exercises adapted for young people. All the instructors are experienced, qualified and recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ontario.
With more than 10 years of experience, our partner school welcomes young people from all over the world, between the ages of 10 and 20 years old.
The students are supervised with care by our qualified counselors to assure their security and well-being throughout their stay. The counselors also motivate the students to practice their English in a recreational environment.
Courses
The courses are based on 4 learning methods: listening, grammar and oral and written communication. Students develop their speaking abilities through role-play of real-life situations. Every Friday the highest achieving students are named "Student of the Week". At the end of their stay, each student is given a progress report and a certificate proving their level.
On their first day, students are given a written and spoken test. This divides them into groups according to their level and age. Classes are offered from complete beginners up to advanced pupils, and are given by experienced teachers qualified by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
Courses run from Monday to Friday.
- Standard course: 20 hours per week
From 9am to 2:20pm (with a 1 hour break for lunch) - Intensive course: 30 hours per week:
