Program
Programme overview
This programme has been specially designed for young people aged between 12 and 18 who wish to spend a few weeks in a French-speaking environment during the summer to improve their French.
The program combines French lessons, activities, and accommodation with a host family. This programme is ideal for children and teens wishing to start learning or to improve their French. The mix of nationalities is guaranteed so they won't have much chance to speak their native language.
The mix of language classes and activities allows students to make real and rapid progress with their French: they have the opportunity to put into practice the skills they learned in their classes. They will learn constantly while in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Destination
Paris, the official, cultural and economic capital of France, is the country’s most important and attractive city. Its vibrant cultural life, legendary squares, atmosphere, and history all contribute to make Paris the world’s best tourist destination.
From the Notre Dame to the Pont des Arts, Paris has many sights to offer. From the Bastille to the Pantheon, the idol of the Revolution, the cradle of its universal values, Paris ignites passion in freedom-loving souls. From the Louvre to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris is the home of art itself.
School
Our partner school in Paris is located in a residential district just outside of Paris. Its proximity to the cultural and historic districts (just 15 minutes by RER) make it an ideal location for young people to improve their French language skills in a relaxed but stimulating environment.
Every session (lasting 2 weeks) contains about 60 students of different nationalities. The classes consist of 15 students.
Courses
The programme of study consists of 15 French language lessons, lasting 50 minutes, per week.
All teachers are native French speakers and certified teachers of French as a foreign language. They use dynamic, interactive, and fun methods, integrating as much varied and stimulating teaching aids as possible: CDs, magazines, DVDs, etc.
A placement test will determine the student's level and place them in the right course (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). Students also receive a certificate of participation at the end of their stay.
Intensive French option
Students wishing to make rapid progress in French can choose the intensive option: you can choose this program next to the standard program with 2 additional afternoon sessions per week, for a total of 20 lessons per week.
This classes are arranged according to the needs and objectives of the students, and offer a real opportunity to perfect their language skills.
Warning: this programme is only available if a minimum of 10 students are enrolled.
Activities and Excursions
Additionally, the programme integrates 2 full day activities (including a Disneyland Paris visit), 3 afternoon activities to discover Paris (boat trip on the Seine river, Eiffel Tower and Louvre museum, Cité des Sciences, discovery of the Latin Quarter and the Notre Dame, Discovery of Montmartre, Les Champs Elysées and shopping), 2 afternoons per week of sport activities (volley-ball, football, tournaments...), evening entertainment at the residence (board games, disco, karoake and theatre) and one evening ’Paris by night’.
The excursions are designed to allow students to get to know the city and its culture with an appropriate level of supervision.
Our caring, competent staff is available 24/7 to help students or to answer their questions.
